Building and Evolving the JesusStraight Events Section

Introduction: Welcome, developers! The JesusStraight Events Section is designed to bring the community together through a variety of meaningful events that emphasize spiritual engagement, outdoor ministry, and community service. From fellowship by the campfire to raffles and prizes, the events are meant to reflect the love, grace, and transformative power of faith.

We will offer opportunities for advertising, sponsorship, and volunteer appreciation, while also creating a platform for field trips, acts of kindness, and spiritual growth events. Below is a roadmap for building and evolving the events section to support the community’s mission.

Phase 1: Building the Core Events Platform (Using Bubble)

  1. Build on Bubble for Quick Web Deployment:

  2. Core Features for Desktop and Mobile:

    • Event Listings: Create a section where users can see upcoming events, such as fellowships, prayer marathons, raffles, and community outings. Each event should have details like date, time, location, and purpose.

    • Registration and RSVP System: Allow users to register for events or RSVP for field trips, making participation easy across devices.

    • Field Trip Section: Use Custom Post Type UI to create dedicated posts for field trips, allowing users to browse trips by date, location, and purpose.

  3. Raffles and Prizes Integration:

    • Enable a system where sponsors, lifestyle candidates, and companies can contribute raffle prizes. Users will be able to enter raffles by registering for events or purchasing raffle tickets, with winners being announced at the event.

Phase 2: Enhancing Engagement and Hosting Features

  1. Advertising and Sponsorship Opportunities:

    • Develop a sponsorship system where businesses can sponsor events. Sponsors can contribute prizes for raffles or help fund field trips in exchange for promotion within the platform. This feature should allow for easy setup and tracking on both desktop and mobile.

    • Create a section where sponsors can upload their logos and event details to gain visibility.

  2. Fellowship and Worship Gatherings:

    • Implement events around daily fellowship with options for virtual and in-person gatherings. These can include campfires, music sessions, and testimony sharing. Ensure that users can participate in these events directly from their mobile devices.

    • Develop tools for virtual worship and group testimonies, allowing participants to share their spiritual experiences in a collaborative online environment.

  3. Organizing and Managing Themed Events:

    • Develop a calendar for themed events such as Acts of Kindness Day, Faith Milestone Celebrations, Volunteer Appreciation, and Forgiveness and Reconciliation Day. These events will focus on fostering community, acts of service, and personal growth.

    • For events like Acts of Kindness Day, allow users to share stories and photos about their contributions, providing an inspiring space for the community to come together and recognize kindness.

Phase 3: Scaling and Automating Event Management

  1. Automated Event Scheduling and Reminders:

    • Automate event scheduling and reminders for users who register for events. Email and SMS notifications can be sent to users to remind them of upcoming prayer marathons, worship gatherings, and field trips.

    • Google Calendar integration will allow users to add events to their personal calendars with one click.

  2. Testimonies and Stories Integration:

    • Create a section dedicated to testimonies and impact stories from past events, such as Volunteer Appreciation Day and Generational Heritage Day. Allow users to upload photos and videos of their experiences, along with personal reflections.

    • Implement a moderation system to review stories before they go live to ensure content aligns with JesusStraight’s mission.

  3. Field Trip Testimonials and Story Showcase:

    • After each field trip, users can upload testimonials and stories about their experiences, sharing the impact the trip had on their faith and community connections. Showcase these testimonials prominently on both desktop and mobile.

Phase 4: Expanding Event Offerings and Global Engagement

  1. Expanding to Global Audiences:

    • Implement multilingual support so events can be organized and attended by users from different countries and regions. This will include events like New Beginnings Day and Spiritual Art and Creativity Showcase, making it accessible to a global faith community.

    • Allow event organizers to create localized versions of global events, ensuring relevance to specific regions and cultures.

  2. Advanced Raffle and Prizes System:

    • Create an advanced raffle system where sponsors can offer higher-value prizes for events with a larger community reach, like Straight Day. Build in tracking for sponsors to see how their contributions are impacting the community.

    • Use gamification features to allow users to earn points for participating in events and raffles, rewarding active members with more chances to win or exclusive perks.

  3. Outdoor Ministry and Acts of Kindness:

    • Develop a section for outdoor ministry that focuses on bringing the community together through outdoor events. This can include campfires, hiking trips, and testimonies in nature, aligning with the message that being outdoors fosters a reflective, open state of mind.

    • Create a user submission feature for Acts of Kindness Day, where people can share their stories of service, helping to inspire others and grow the movement.

Phase 5: Integration with the Broader JesusStraight Network

  1. Cross-Platform Integration:

    • Integrate events with other parts of the JesusStraight network, such as the shop and news sections. For example, participants in field trips could receive special offers in the shop, or event highlights could be featured in the news section to inspire broader community engagement.

    • Stream live events, such as Prayer Marathons or Faith Milestone Celebrations, allowing users from across the globe to participate virtually.

  2. Celebrating Significant Events (Straight Day, Prayer Marathons):

    • Build a dedicated promotional section for Straight Day (scheduled for 09-25-2024), featuring a countdown and live updates. Encourage users to participate in special raffles, submit their testimonies, and engage in the day’s activities.

    • For events like Prayer Marathons, allow users to sign up for specific prayer slots and participate in live or virtual prayer groups.

Conclusion:

As developers, your role is critical in bringing the JesusStraight Events Section to life. Starting with Bubble, you’ll create a responsive, scalable platform that supports various community-driven events, from fellowships and worship gatherings to field trips and Acts of Kindness. As we grow, the platform will expand to support a global community, offering more opportunities for spiritual growth and community engagement.

By building this platform, you will help foster connections, inspire acts of kindness, and create a space where faith-driven events bring the community closer to God’s message of love and grace.
