🔻 Dropdown Structure (Inside Hero)
Use hierarchical dropdowns that dynamically update based on user selections.

✍️ Functionality – Two Options (Developer; may eventually use combination of the two).
Vertical Menu Panel:

  • Must not include a search bar – this is intentional

  • Contain dropdown menus by service category, user type, or keyword tags

✅ 1st Choice: Dynamic Drop-down Flow
User selects from 1st dropdown → trigger new options in 2nd

Example:

  • “Service Type” → “Writing & Content” ✍️

  • Then triggers → “Category” → “Blog Articles” 📖

  • Then → “Style” → “Technical / Lifestyle / Ghostwriting” 📰

Each dropdown becomes more specific based of previous selection.

✅ 2nd Choice: Full List (Indented Categories)
Displaying all categories, sub-categories, down to the very niche in one scrollable list.

🚨 NON-NEGOTIABLE:
HERO SECTION DROPDOWN be implemented.

  • If Wix had no limitations embedding filters in hero section, Bubble shouldn't either.

  • Bubble’s flexibility (floating groups, overlapping containers, conditional visibility) removes this excuse.

  • If they don’t fit in the hero visually, implement them with one of the following:

💡 Backup Integration Options (if fitting inside the hero visually becomes a UI problem):

  • Slide-in filter panel → opens when user clicks “Filter Freelancers” or “Find a Service”

  • Popup filter modal → triggered on landing or by clicking a compact floating button

  • Inline stacked dropdowns → appear just below the fold but styled as part of hero

  • Collapsible filter pills → compact dropdowns that expand when clicked (like Fiverr mobile)

💬 Developer Note:
Bubble is designed for this level of conditional logic. “Not fitting” is not valid reason to exclude these dropdowns hero experience.

  • Sub-Category / Specialty

  • Work Style (e.g., one-time gig / ongoing support)

  • Price or Budget Range 💲

  • Delivery Speed (express / standard / long-term) ⏳

  • User Type (Freelancer / Agency / Team) 👥

  • Optional: Keywords or Tags
